We are situated in Buckstone and currently run by a manager, play practitioners, volunteers and a parent led committee. St. Fillan’s Playgroup is a registered charity providing a fun, safe and caring environment for children aged 2-5 years.
The role of the Playgroup Manager is to be responsible for monitoring children’s learning, overseeing other members of staff as well as to be the main point of contact for parents, staff, children and regulatory bodies.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person to lead a team of practitioners supporting the provision of Early Learning and Childcare. Applicants should be registered or eligible to register as a Playgroup Manager with the Scottish Social Services Council, (SSSC), the professional register for early education and childcare workers.

This post is regulated with children and is subject to the provisions of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must agree to become members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme. This post is subject to checks by Disclosure Scotland and all applicants will be asked to disclose any information about any offences committed and/or convictions held or other circumstances that could prevent them from taking up a position in childcare.
