Disney Disco for the little ones!

On Saturday 23 February (10.30am – 12.30pm) we are having a Disney themed disco at the church. There will be a DJ and we’re sure everyone who comes along will have plenty of fun! Tickets will be available on the door.

Support Worker Job Vacancy (part time)

Wednesday and Thursday mornings –  8.15am till 12.30pm.  Fixed Term Contract for one year.  Pay 7.50 per hour

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to be part of our team providing the provision of pre-school care and education for Children aged 2 to 5 years.

The role of the job is to assist children in their play activities, be responsible for the safety of the children, to help prepare activities and set up and tidy away at each session.  You will also be required to monitor and record each child’s development.  Applicants should have experience working with young children and be prepared to work towards the SVQ Level 2.  Applicants should be registered or eligible to register as a support worker with the Scottish Social Services Council, the professional register for early years education and childcare workers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fundraising Secretary and Treasurer Vacancies on the Committee, 2017/18

Please speak to a member of staff if you are a current parent or grandparent who would be interested in taking on the role of Treasurer or Fundraising Secretary.  We’d love you to come and join the Committee and be an active part of the playgroup in these roles.

Volunteers Needed

If you would like to gain experience working with children and can give a weekly commitment then we would love to hear from you.  We are currently looking for Volunteers for the following mornings: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Volunteers would be required on a weekly basis during term time.  Ideally you could start at 9am and stay until 12.30pm.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at the playgroup please email st.fillansplaygroup@hotmail.com so that we may send you a copy of the job remit.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Committee Vacancies for 2017/18

We are recruiting for committee members for the session 2017/18.  The positions of Treasurer and Fundraising Secretary are still vacant.  If you would like to get more involved with the playgroup please speak to a member of staff.  Thanks to those parents who have already agreed to take on positions for the 2017/18 session.

Welcome to Fiona Leslie Playgroup Manager

We are delighted to welcome Mrs Fiona Leslie as St Fillan’s Playgroups Manager.  Fiona is an experienced Nursery Manager and is looking forward to working with you and your children.  Fiona will be working every morning in the Playgroup.

Our Summer Fayre on Saturday 24th June 2017.  More details will be available soon.  The playgroup is holding it’s open day on Wednesday 14th June, from 12.30pm till 1.30pm.  We welcome all of the parents and children on the waiting list and anyone who would like more information about the playgroup.

If you would like to find out more about the playgroup and visit with your child, please come along to our open day on Wednesday 14th June at 12.30pm.  There is no need to tell us your coming, please just drop in.  Staff will be available to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
